Kurrimine Beach is a favourite fishing spot where anglers have a choice of beach, estuary or reef fishing. Abundant species of fish and the famous painted crayfish are just waiting a couple of metres off shore. This is the place where you can chase any number of species, the barramundi tops many angler’s wish list and the chance of snaring one up here is probably better than average. There are lots of other species to chase too - try trolling for mackerel, tuna or giant trevally out at the reef, or line fish the bottom for coral trout, nannygai or red emperor. Spear fishing is popular too with coral trout and painted crayfish the prized catches.
