Permanently flowing mountain streams provide the rare opportunity to experience the beauty of mother nature’s masterpiece. A pristine, crystal clear mountain stream teeming with fish, turtles and the elusive platypus. Half day or full day self-tours available. Take on a couple of mini rapids (or ripples) along the way, stop on a secluded beach for some lunch and a swim, then float downstream to your pick-up point. What a way to spend a day! Kayaking is the perfect activity for all ages and fitness levels! The river will carry you downstream to your destination so you can just float along or paddle as hard as you like. We have started the very popular monday night roast at dunk island view cafe once again. We will rotate between lamb and pork and each meal comes with roast potatoes, pumpkin, cauliflower with cheese sauce, carrots, peas and gravy along with either mint sauce for lamb or apple sauce for pork. Byo wine and we will supply the glasses. We will also have dessert available to purchase separately. Come and sit outside in the balmy weather and enjoy your meal. The tableland tour commences with skyrail or the historic train up to kuranda - skybury coffee at mareeba - the tablelands heritage town of yungaburra followed by the fig tree and onto lake barrine or the herberton historic village. The culminates with an inspiring drive down the gillies highway back to cairns. We are versatile and can vary a full day tour to suit your specific interests.
